Sean Halloran lives and works in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Sean's art-making practice has always been responsive to his environment and ranges from painting and collage to printmaking and assemblage. In recent years, he has made an intentional decision to step fully into an intuitive style of abstract expressionistic painting and explore the bare elements of mark-making, color and shape:

"I am trying to create a compelling visual experience with my paintings and collages. I work from an initial concept, spontaneously engaging in a dialogue with the materials. As shapes, lines and the palette emerge I clarify and bring forth an image that will provide the viewer with a feeling, a thought, a place to reflect, or a question."

His most recent works mark an exciting new chapter, and he is excited to share the work with a wider audience.
